Colleton County School District Vaccine Clinics
03/05/2021
Phase 1b of our state’s COVID-19 vaccine distribution plan will begin on Monday, March 8. Frontline workers that have an increased occupational risk for contracting COVID-19 are eligible to receive the vaccine under this phase of the distribution plan. All Colleton County School District employees that have direct contact with students (including teachers, teacher assistants, substitutes, custodians, student nutrition workers, bus drivers) will be eligible to receive the vaccine during Phase 1b.

Change in Virtual Learning Expectations

Parents, Please see the revised Virtual Learning Expectations document that is attached. A major change to the school-wide expectations is all students are expected to have their background blurred while in class. Your child's teacher will give instructions on how to blur the background. This has been the standard for middle school and the high school and has now been adopted by the elementary schools.

Staff & Student Face Covering Expectations

To reduce the spread of the pandemic (COVID-19), the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) recommends that a face covering be worn in public settings when other social distancing measures are difficult to maintain. The district will consider the circumstances in the community and consult local health officials for the implementation of this policy.
