The Colleton County School District will expand in-person learning opportunities for Colleton County School District students to four days of in-person instruction, starting February 4, 2021.
Parents who requested that their children be placed in the four day in-person instruction model on the December phone survey will send their children to their schools for a full instructional day starting February 4, 2021 unless those children have been placed on a waiting list by school administration. If your child is on a waiting list, your school will contact you.
The instructional days for CCSD schools are:
- Elementary Schools, 7:30 a.m. to 2:15 p.m.
- Black Street Early Childhood Center's instructional day is 7:30 a.m. to 1:55 p.m.
- Middle School, 8:30 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.
- High School, 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Dress codes policies are still in effect. Information on CCSD’s dress code policy can be found at colleton.k12.sc.us under the “I am a Student” and “I am a Parent” tabs.
Information on bus routes will be released as soon as possible on colleton.k12.sc.us, and through mass emails and phone dialers.
Protecting our staff and students during the COVID-19 pandemic remains CCSD’s first priority. In order to keep our school facilities as safe as possible as the district expands in-person learning, CCSD will utilize the following practices:
- Over six-thousand plexiglass desk partitions, which were delivered to Colleton County schools on October 20, will be placed in all of our school facilities.
- Schools and buses will be cleaned daily, and comprehensively disinfected every Wednesday.
- Anyone visiting district property will be required to wear a mask, and all students and staff will be expected to wear a mask throughout the instructional day.
- Students will undergo temperature checks upon entering district properties.
- Social distancing will be enforced on district properties at all times.
