Related Arts

Related Arts

Related Arts includes the subject areas of Art, Computer, Library, Music, and Physical Education.  Your child/children will receive instruction in each of these subject areas one time per week. The instruction your child/children receives in these subjects enriches their lives.  Instruction in related arts promotes self-directed learning, sharpens the critical and creative skills of students and improves motivation, confidence and teamwork.  It is our goal to provide high-quality, comprehensive arts education to all of our students.

Students are given grades in Art, Music and Physical Education.  Grades are based on participation and are as follows:  E-excellent 90-100, S+-good 80-89, S-satisfactory 70-79, N-needs improvement 60-69, and U-unsatisfactory 50-59.  Related arts grades are part of the consideration for honor roll designation.  Students receiving any Honor Roll designation must have a grade of 70 in all Related Arts classes.

Parents, we ask that you encourage your students to do their best each and every day and contact the related arts teachers if you have a question or concern.  We use Class Dojo as our official communication tool however, please feel free to call, send an email or visit the teachers during their planning periods.  Thank you for partnering with our teachers to support your child/children’s instruction.
