Meet the Teacher
Hello, I am Robert Cozart, music teacher of Cottageville Elementary School. I began my teaching career in the Year 2000. I have taught students of all grades in Band, Chorus, and General Music. Most of my teaching time has been in South Carolina with a brief time in Virginia. I began teaching at Cottageville in 2019 and I look forward to working with you again in the 2020-2021 school year.
Music Class
In music class our course of study is based on the following ideas adopted from the South Carolina and National Standards:
1) Students need to have experiences in creating and decoding music, to be successful 21st century citizens.
2) Students need to perform – as singers, as instrumentalists, and in their lives and careers.
3) Students need to respond to music, as well as to their culture, their community, and their colleagues.
