
Today was a great day to participate in the 2025 50th Rice Festival. Colleton County School District had so much fun greeting everyone & sharing the great things happening in our schools. Stop by tomorrow if you missed us. We will see everyone at the parade tomorrow morning!!









On Thursday, April 24, 2025, Colleton County School District Office of Federal Programs hosted a "Thank you For All You Do" Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon. The program began with Miss Alexandra Green, CCHS Teacher Cadet, as Mistress of Ceremonies. The guests were greeted by Miss Heaven Robinson, a CCHS J.A.G.& teacher cadet. Director of Federal Programs Brandi Boseman read a a special poem she wrote titled "What Volunteers are Made Of. Miss Shamaury Ford , an 11th grade CAS student, shared a Moment of Gratitude. Our wonderful volunteers were treated to a lunch. The program continued with Miss Hailee Marin, CCHS J.A.G/ROTC student, introducing the keynote speaker, Mr. Sterling Hicks. Mr. Hicks is a graduate of Colleton County School District and shared an inspirational message to all who attended. Colleton County School District is so thankful for all the volunteers that help our students, staff, & district. "It's all About the Kids! The Time is Now!"

Colleton County School District will observe an early dismissal schedule on Friday, April 25, 2025, to allow our students to participate in many of the activities & performances during the 50th Anniversary of the Colleton County Rice Festival.


Today, Forest Hills Elementary became the champions of the 2025 5th Grade Kick Ball Tournament. The final game was between FHE & NES. All of the students representing Bells Elementary, Cottageville Elementary, Forest Hills Elementary, Hendersonville Elementary, & Northside Elementary played great games. Thank you to all the CCHS athletes for working as referees during the games. Thank you to all the school coaches that worked hard to teach the students the fundamentals of Kick Ball & being good sportsmen.

Today, April 9, 2025, our Superintendent Jessica Williams, & CCSD Board Members Lynn Stroble, Sharon Witkin, Glenn Nixon, & Roman Cunningham visited the State Capitol to meet with our state legislators to advocate for our school district. While there, they also visited the SC Department of Education to meet with State Superintendent Ellen Weaver.

The CCHS Global Career Department and the Jobs for American Graduates Organization held the 2025 Spring Career Fair on Thursday, March 27, 2025, from 8:00 A.M.-12:00 P.M. It was an exceptional opportunity for many local companies to engage with students, showcase the organizations' career pathways, connect with future talent, and gain valuable exposure while educating students about each business. The South Carolina Association of Educational Office Professionals (SCAEOP) hosted its 43rd Annual Conference from March 20 to 23, 2025, at the Hyatt Regency Greenville in Greenville, SC. This premier event offered educational office professionals opportunities for professional development, networking, and inspiration.
Conference Highlights:
• Keynote Speakers included:
• Opening Keynote (March 21, 9:15 AM - 10:30 AM): “Shift with Dr. Joy!” presented by Joy McLaughlin-Harris, an international speaker, leadership educator, and re-brand coach.
• Closing Keynote (March 23, 10:00 AM - 11:15 AM): Delivered by Charlene McKnight, founder and executive director of Four Giving Hearts, Incorporated.
• Workshops and seminars offered a variety of sessions covering topics such as technology, communication, and leadership.
